Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Another very important layer is what happens within the nervous system.  Just before or right after impact the "fight, flight, or freeze response" is activated. This is felt as a massive increase of energy within the system.  Since there isn't the option of running away or fighting, the nervous system goes to the "freeze" response.  So, internally it's like the nervous system is going 100mph but outwardly there is an immobilization of the body.  What can then happen is that if the increased energy in the nervous system is not discharged properly it can get "stuck" and manifest as trauma.  This can also make your recovery take longer if not properly dealt with.
